140 Litre ‘Max Strength’ Compostable Commercial Grade brown bin bags, a First for Irish Households. Brown bin bags detach easily from the roll due to clever perforations and are water proof. Specially designed for commercial applications these bags are so much stronger than the plant starch varieties seen in shops. These Brown bin bags can even be used as a garden bag for grass leaves etc.

Description

140 Litre Brown Bin Bags 939.8mm – 37” (width) x 1320.8mm – 52” (height).

Made from natural renewable materials, these Brown bin bags break down quickly to nourish the compost created in an industrial unit. These Compostable Brown bin bags keep your Brown bin clean, preventing odours by ensuring food waste does not build up in the base of your bin.

Bin can appear damp when emptied but the bag has not leaked it has been breathing, so in a closed in environment this appears as damp on a closed bins walls. A small amount of liquid can also be present at the base of the bin and this is for the same reason.

A kettle of boiling water poured in and left to cool before the insertion of one of the new Brown bin bags will address any odour issues. Leave the water in the bin (yes leave it in the bin) as it will be tipped into the truck on collection day. Why? Well this bin liquid is referred to as ‘Leachate‘ and although very useful in a commercial food waste recycling centre, it is wrong and illegal to empty this often foul smelling waste water down a surface drain in your garden or driveway.

We use the term here of ‘Bag’, as these are bags with Amazing Strength as designed for Commercial Applications and not just liners as with the Plant Starch varieties. We found when trialling these Brown bin bags that if you tie a knot to the side of them they fit any 140 Litre bin perfectly. See Video here just how to do that.

Compostable bags are branded with ‘Earth2Earth’ Logo easily identifiable as Compostable and not plastic or low quality import. Collection can be rejected if not clear what the bag is made from. BBR Note! Low cost bags in supermarkets often only have ‘Welded’ joints which can cause the bags to rip when being dethatched from the roll.
